Guinsiliban, Camiguin

Guinsiliban is a 6th class municipality in the province of Camiguin, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 5,092 people in 1,066 households.

History

On 1942, the occupation by the Japanese forces landed in the town of Guinsiliban, Camiguin.

On 1945, the liberation to the Filipino forces of the 6th and 10th Infantry Division of the Philippine Commonwealth Army was invaded of entering the town of Guinsiliban, Camiguin was helped together with the recognized guerilla fighter units was the attack of the Japanese Imperial forces during the Battle of Camiguin at the end of World War II.
